We’re a band originally formed by Jean-Seb Jourdain and Mary Auclair, guitarist and lead singer. We wanted to take Rock n’ Roll to a whole new level by taking pop songs and by putting our rock n’ roll sound in it.
Jean-Seb is a guitarist influenced by The Doors, Guns n’ Roses, Led Zeppelin… He’s been playing for at least 20 years and has got his art on point. He played with Lesbiennes D’acid, Sleazy Scumdog, Poivre de Cayenne and many more.
Mary, the youngest in the band, has been a singer for about 10 years now. Perfecting her techniques and her voice all the time, she sang in several shows, charities events such as Relais Pour la Vie (Société canadienne du cancer). Also, she is a comedian, dancer and singer taking part in musicals (Troupe Underground). She had roles in Rock of Ages, Wicked, Pitch Perfect and Rent. Her influences are anywhere between Rock n’ Roll and Celine Dion!
The project evoluted to a compo/cover one as J-S and Mary found Pat (bass) And Andres (Drum) to join the adventure.
Andres, Native from Chile, plays drums since the age of 17. He drummed with Sacred Site. They toured in Europe where their self titled album was best known, US and Canada. The band dissolved after the tragic death of one of the members… He played with several other bands and took part in many competitions. He’s now OURS!
Pat, born and raised in a musical family, first learned to play the guitar with his father at the age of 10. He, however, understood that bass guitar was his true love. Influenced by Nikki Sixx and Steve Harris and the band Tool, Pat toured around Montreal in the 90’s with his bands Crank and Burning Flesh. His last show was in 1993. Then, he took a long 23 years break and raised his beautiful family. In 2016, music called him back on stage with The Strawberry Chips and as of today, he’s with us ; The Dirty Cheat! We made him fall in love again with music!
So this is us, The Dirty Cheat…
Sadly, last september, we lost a very good friend of ours, André-Paul aka Pluche. He joined us in the middle of summer as a rythm guitar. We loved him very much and he’ll always be with us… You’ll have the chance to see and hear him on stage with us because we kept his JCM-800 Marshall amplifier! Pluche, we miss you… May you rest in ROCK N’ ROLL!!!!!
